Oh my gosh, the breakfast at this place was out of this world! it was so good, i thought the restaurant dining would be just as amazing. Sadly, the room decor was a bit dull. But overall, the service was spot on, and the staff were delightful. Would visit again for the breakfast alone! 🍳

However, there were some drawbacks such as the limited food menu availability, noise transfer between rooms, and minor issues with amenities like toilet paper and breakfast service. Overall, a decent option for travelers looking for a peaceful retreat with easy access to nearby attractions.

As a solo traveler, I loved the convenient location and the clean and tidy bar and reception area. The hotel's breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to the day.

Steve Fraser, the duty manager, was knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately, the expensive and disappointing restaurant meals were a letdown. The outdated rooms and cold breakfast were a downside. Overall, a mixed experience with some highlights and lows.

The hotel is situated in a picturesque location, surrounded by a beautiful mini golf course with stunning views. The pro's shop and Brassiere restaurant add to the grandeur of the place. Its location is convenient, just a short distance away from Edinburgh centre. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean, with all the necessary amenities provided. The breakfast menu is diverse and the service is prompt.

Some aspects of the service are lacking and need improvement.

The room was super cozy - just what we asked for, and the hotel is like a fancy castle, which was cool. The staff were all really friendly and ready to help with anything. We loved using the swimming pool and sauna, such a chill time. We did have a hiccup with the water in our room but, sorted out quickly in the end. 😊

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The hotel's location is great for exploring the local area, including some lovely cafes. The room was comfortable with terrific amenities, such as an in-room safe and trouser press. The hotel's restaurant was impressive, with a terrific in-room breakfast and a delightful bar/lounge area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Although there were a few areas where the hotel could improve, we would still highly recommend it to families. The leisure spa and wellness centre were top-notch, and we made full use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi.

I had an amazing stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location of this place was absolutely stunning, nestled in beautiful grounds with an exceptional golf course. It was perfect for a late night walk, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff here were incredible, they couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. The head waiter/floor supervisor, Lewis, was fantastic, as were the other staff members who served us during our stay. The service was top-notch, from the moment we arrived until we checked out. They even accommodated my requests and researched wheelchair-accessible places for us to visit. The general manager went out of their way to apologize for any inconvenience I may have experienced. It was my daughter's 11th birthday during our stay, and the manager even took the time to chat with her.

All in all, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It had everything I needed and more.

We had a delightful two-night stay at Dalmahoy. The staff were genuinely friendly and eager to please, making us feel well taken care of. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for our four-night stay. The restaurant served delicious food, and the hotel grounds were beautiful, perfect for leisurely walks. The location was private, ensuring a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The quick and efficient resolution of any issues, such as a problem with the wash basin drain, impressed us. Dalmahoy exceeded our expectations in every aspect.

Had a great stay at this hotel over New Year's. the location is perfect, with easy access to both Edinburgh city centre and Livingston shopping outlet. the hotel itself is a beautiful period building with lovely decor and furnishings. One of the best aspects was the clean and well-maintained rooms. the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the waitress in the brasserie who provided impeccable customer service.

There were a few aspects that could have been improved. the dinner service was rather slow, with a long wait of 1.5 hours.
